Providing an Online Showcase Platform for Local Artists and Businesses
Ashley Lauren– A Local Artist and Photographer
My name is Ashley Lauren, a local artist, and photographer in the community. After graduating with a degree in Leadership and Community Outreach, I became interested in starting The Minnesota Creative Group, an online publication.
Pandemic and Civil Unrest
Being an artist myself and having experienced the difficulties of a struggling business, I have first-hand experience. When the pandemic occurred, it felt like the whole world had stopped. And the community suffered even worse during the George Floyd death and the civil unrest that followed.
Journalistic Publication
The Minnesota Creative Group is a progressive journalistic media, art, news, and editorial magazine with real-life perspectives from local artists. Despite the tragedies, we need to create accessible opportunities to meet our society’s economic needs.
Our Core Values
After seeing artists and businesses struggling in the community, especially in the lower economic levels, I envisioned creating a platform for them. My mission is to get the local artists and businesses in focus.
Our Purpose
As a photojournalist, I have the vision to represent the urban community of artists and businesses who contribute to our society. When I started the magazine, I highlighted those who have lost a lot due to the George Floyd civil unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Serving the Art and Business Ecosystem
I want the readers to take a journey with me to speak to citizens, photography, real-life issues, and progress. The Minnesota Creative Group strives to represent the underrepresented people and businesses of the community who have been affected by the tragedies.
Digital Photojournalism Magazine for Local Artists That showcases local artists and business
The Minnesota Creative Group is an online publication for the latest news of the community. Our magazine showcases the photojournalism of local artists and businesses that have been affected during the civil unrest surrounding George Floyd and COVID-19.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a platform to showcase local artists and businesses who collectively come together to contribute to our society. I believe that through our magazine, we can help you see the world from a new perspective.
